KGP Design Studio participated in designing dedicated bike lanes on Louisiana Avenue in Washington D.C., aiming to create a safe biking environment. Highlighting the significance of bicycles in sustainable urban transportation, the United States lags behind with only about 1% of commuters cycling to work, while cities like Copenhagen boast a commendable 37% of people cycling to work. The most common reason cited by non-cyclists for not cycling to work is the lack of infrastructure. This underscores the importance of initiatives like the Louisiana Avenue bike lanes in promoting biking as a viable mode of transportation.
